This policy explains how the Track My Car service processes data related to user accounts, vehicle trackers, and the Track My Car mobile app.
Data processed
Depending on the features used, Track My Car may process user identifiers, email address, preferred language, account security information, vehicle name and brand, technical tracker identifier, SIM number if provided, GPS positions, speed, tracker state, timestamps, login logs, and security events.
Use of data
This data is used to provide location services, show authorized vehicles, secure account access, send necessary emails, enable emergency mode, arm theft mode, and diagnose technical or security incidents.
Sharing
Track My Car does not sell personal data. Data may be processed by technical providers strictly required to operate the service, such as hosting, email delivery, or map display providers. Data may also be disclosed when required by law.
Security
The service uses HTTPS, hashed passwords, secure sessions, CSRF protection, login rate limiting, and encryption of sensitive secrets such as some 2FA secrets. Administrator access and backups must remain limited to authorized people and devices.
Retention
Account data is kept while the account is active. GPS history is kept for the current month and the previous three months, unless a legal or specific technical need requires otherwise. Some security logs may be kept temporarily to prevent abuse and protect the service.
Deletion and rights
You can request access, correction, or deletion of data associated with your account. The deletion procedure is available on the account deletion page.
